This policy explains how the Melosome corporate website uses cookies and similar browser storage.
2. Launch position
The launch version of the website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that reports aggregated visit and page-view counts without setting a cookie, storing a persistent device identifier or tracking individuals across websites. Beyond this, the website is designed to operate without advertising cookies and without non-essential analytics cookies.
No advertising pixel, cross-site behavioural tracking or third-party marketing cookie should be added without a prior privacy review, an updated policy and a consent mechanism where required.
3. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and device identifiers.
Some storage is necessary for a website or form to function securely. Other storage, such as optional analytics or advertising, is not strictly necessary.
4. Strictly necessary use
The site or its infrastructure may use short-lived, strictly necessary data for purposes such as:
- protecting forms from automated abuse;
- maintaining session or request integrity;
- balancing traffic;
- recording security events;
- remembering a privacy choice; or
- delivering content reliably.
Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent where they are genuinely essential, but we still explain their purpose.
5. Optional technologies
Beyond the cookieless analytics described in Section 2, optional analytics, embedded media, chat tools, advertising or personalisation must remain disabled at launch.
If Melosome later introduces an optional technology:
- it will be assessed before deployment;
- this policy will be updated;
- the exact provider, purpose and duration will be described;
- it will not load before consent where consent is required; and
- rejecting the optional technology will not prevent access to ordinary website content.
6. Third-party links
Following a link to another website may allow that third party to set its own cookies. Melosome does not control third-party websites.
7. Browser controls
Browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect form submission or security features.
8. Changes
This policy will be updated before any material change to cookie or tracking use.
